I have very grave feelings about the amount of advice that is given out I know that it helps making the site more popular to the public so helps us all.

But after reading the one about the WMA motor and telling him how to hot wire a motor live, is utterly dangerous.

Should new members be informed about how much can be given, you the moderators can of course delete it after the event,

I also think that most of you advise calling an engineer out and of course that is what we want, not to go to one that the customer has played with its as bad as following up a cowboy.

Funnily enough I read that thread earlier and though.. “WHOA!”

It’s WAY too technical for a public forum and live testing is supposed to be outlawed for us never mind the public.
