Help Me. Ariston AWD10 margherita 2000

I’ve had this machine for less than a week!!! (Secondhand machine from my emigrating uncle)
The door will not open! I’ve had it do 2 cycles and still no joy.
Is this a common fault that a novice can fix, or would i need the assistance of the experts? Many Thanks 🙁

If the door will not open after you have unplugged the machine for a couple of minutes then your door interlock is more than likely faulty. If you really are a novice then I suggest you click the link in my sig to see if we have someone in your area that can help. Don’t try to force it from the front, you will only break more parts. Should not be a major expense if it is only the door interlock.

Thank you for your time. Unpluged it and no joy. I’ve taken the top off and it’s the actual plastic on the handle that has snapped! a bit of bodging and it’s all sorted. Think i need to change my user name to washing machine cowboy. lol. Thanks again for your time. 😀

If you need a new handle then it comes as a complete kit with pin, spring and latch, not very expensive. Part number C00065250, you can order from shop@ukwhitegoods.co.uk 🙂
