please can anyone give me some advice with the diplomat 8703 washer/dryer. I have recently inherited this machine when i moved into a new flat. The washer seems to work fine but cannot get it to dry any clothes. I have tried every cycle possible and have even halved my load to see if this helps. I have a user guide but that does not help me at all. am i putting it on the wrong dial setting as the machine does not seem to give off any heat.

If that one has a half load button it needs to be depressed or the machine will not dry.
If it is pressed in then there’s probably a fault with the dryer, often just a stat that’s tripped IIRC on those models.

It does not have a half load button 🙁 The model is HJA 8703

As kwatt said probs be the dryer stat , which hs a manual reset on it , remember to unplug appliance before doing anything

That appliance is made by Hoover/Candy. It has 2 resettable stats on the dryer casing but they are prone to nuisance tripping. There was a modification to replace the thermostats with higher temperature ones and also replace the NTC to prevent this reoccurring.
