Help needed with Whirlpool Washing Machine.

Hi, My washing machine is a Whirlpool 6th Sense, 1100 spin, AWM 6110/3 & in the last 2 weeks it has been making a terrible racket when it’s in a spin.The Noise gets worse as it nears the end of the wash ( Like a banging noise ).Any Ideas what the problem could be as I’m going to open it up & try ( gulp ) to sort the problem.Any help very welcome…thx

could be the bearings or a broken drum spider or foreign object, plug out first of course.

Is this hard to fix ? Would it be easier to just buy a new machine ?

OK I’ve opened the top of the Machine & noticed a large Brick with 2 metal rods on it & both Rods & the Brick are Snapped.Why would they snap & can I buy this Brick with the Rods ?

the concrete weight breaks because the bolts loosen off, i would check the fixing brackets where the bolts go, if they are damaged the machine is not worth fixing, the concrete weight and bolts are available as spare parts.
