    Hi

We need a new printer for the business,we have at the moment a hp colour laserjet 1600 which is a bit of a big beast as we use the printer alot
but what i need to know is there a printer on the market that uses affordable cartridges. It is cheaper for us to buy the same model cheaper than buying x 4 cartridges £149 plus the vat.
These £30/£50 printers are no good either,we don’t mind paying for the right kit.

hi, i use an Epsom, (always easy to get cheap carts for those) its a DX8400, printer/scanner, sits neatly on the desk, plus it connects into the broadband box so you can send items to print off from any pc/laptop in the house without needing to connect it to the pc

Epson here too (RX685 scanner/printer)….brilliant piece of kit. Works independent of PC also 😀

If its a printer only you want why not consider a colour laser – you can get a Samsung 300 series for less than 100 quid.

I use a brother all in one machine, and quite honestly it’s the best printer I’ve ever had. Dirt cheap to run too. You can get 6 cartridges (compatible) mix and match for £15.54 from rubberfrog.com. Never had any blocked printer heads, unlike the Epsons that I had used for years and got increasingly frustrated by.

    Thanks for the replies folks

we have decided to go for the same model,as the ‘old’ unit is way out of guarantee and to my memory it has never jammed,a problem we used to get on other printers.
