ParticipantHi
new to the site and need some help please, we have a Servis M6312X 1200 rpm stainless steel washing machine, that has developed a problem so that we cant use it. We fill the machine up then turn it on (Tried many settings to test it) it shows the cycle time then starts to count down and sound like it empties the soap draw, then sits for about two minutes counting down, then suddenly goes to 1 minute then End. Any ideas? Someone said it could be the control board, any ideas?
Thanks

Unfortunate machine – nice box, poor components. Short of a visible component failure on the PCB, you will have to work your way through the various components in the appliance, checking for resistance and continuity back to the board. If all the components check out, all that’s left is the PCB.
You will need a multimeter and the skill to use it correctly if you wish to pursue it yourself.
Stay safe, power off.

hi thanks for that, had a look at the control board looked fine, but noticed that there is a major problem in the back where the wiring comes in, burnt out connector
See pic attachedAny ideas why this would happen and could it be this thats my problem?
Do i have any leg to stand on with Servis because of this buning out? Personally think its a very dangerous fault!
Thanks

Download from a hosting site – Photobucket or the like, by far the easiest way.
If the burning is the white connector block on the PCB, they’re always going at that point.
Doubt it’s worth going to Servis – they lose interest after the 365th day.

can i send someone the pic to load, i cant work out how to do it. Not sure what the part isd called, it is where the power blue wire comes into the machine then clips onto a small cylindrical item that i guess disburses the power

Email it through, I’ll post it for you.
Sounds like the mains suppressor has gone west. Does THIS look familiar?

Plug out, make a diagram of the wiring, pull the suppressor and check what has happened. Possibly the wiring and connector have burnt out; if the plastic of the suppressor is burnt, you should replace it.
Stay safe, plug out.

sorry to be thick, but by replacing this could it possibly solve my problem?

Yes – power passes throught the suppressor before being fed to the rest of the machine. Duff suppressor no go
