Help please: Miele Dishwasher won’t stop trying to empty.

My Miele G640 dishwasher won’t stop trying to empty.
When I turn it on the pump starts and if there is any water in the sump it is pumped out cleanly.

The salt light and inlet/outlet light come on in various combinations. Mostly always salt light and majority of time inlet/outlet.

Prior to this happening the machine stopped drying properly.

I’d like to be able to check things without the cost of an engineer but I’m stumped.
Would it be a good idea to fill the salt and rinse aid up. I’m not sure where the rinse aid goes as this was a secondhand machine with no manual.

sounds like you have had a leak into the base of the machine which activates a float switch so then all that will happen is you will get the drain pump on and lights flashing its a safety device. looks like you will need an engineer to find the leak and rectify the problem not a job i would advise you to undertake yourself because these can be a bit awkward.
