    eek..wondering if someone might help. have done a bearing change on an Ariston A1636. have put it all back together and am left with an extra wire on the heater wiring loom!!!!! Have compared it to several of the hotpoints…no joy. Not seen anything like it before…the wire is a black wire coming from the pressure stat. Have called a couple of other engineers and they’re flumuxed too! Anybody able to enlighten me?……I know…should’ve paid more attention when dismantling it!!!

    If it’s a 3 phase machine it could perhaps be the motor earth wire but that normally goes to the mains filter.
