help required bosch dishwasher sgs59a22gb

Hi,
I have a bosch SGS59A22gb dishwasher, the porblem is the machine will go through the auto cycle but gets stuck at the end of the cycle displaying 1 in the countdown minute display window. At this point it sounds like the waste water pump is running all the time.
this will go on untill you reset the machine by pressing the two reset buttons at the same time. i am happy to repair the machine if anyone can point me in the right direction. many thanks jason

The 1 in the display is actually error code 1 which IIRC refers to a lack of heat in the required time so first port of call is meter the heater.
