Help!! Smeg DWI 710 E problems

Hi

My Smeg Dishwasher SWI 710 E has stopped working.

When I turn it on the 4th LED from the left is flashing and I am unabe to select a program.

Any help would be much appreciated.

LED 4 is not a recognised code, therefore it’s a corruption issue with the computer board. This is regularly caused by the dispenser unit. PCB and computer board will both need to be replaced. Due to the expense of the components involved, I would advise that you seek pro help with this one. It would avoid any expensive mistakes…..

Thanks for the response Penguin.

The repair sounds v.expensive…is it worth just cutting my losses and investing in a replacement dishwasher.

Or am I guessing wrong and it would not cost that much to get it repaired

Yes, it will be expensive – computer board is over £100, dispenser likely to around £40, plus VAT and time……

Unlucky really, as SMEG stuff is good quality. I have had a SMEG as my own machine for a good few years now, with no problems at all.
