When you say you unplugged it and its the same, do you mean water still comes in or is it when you power it back up after?. If its the first then I would suspect the fill valve has jammed in the open position and will be in need of replacement.

It doesn’t sound like it TBH. More like a pressure system or module fault. There are some on here more familiar with this machine Im sure 😉

When wash is selected does the drum turn slowly or does it turn fast like spin speed creating the whooshing sound?

it does get to a spin , but does do its normal wash spin, the whooshing is from the water cos when you open the powder tray it is louder. the programme roughly gets 15 mins in then returns to original count down eg 55 mins then counts down to say 40 , then changes back to 55 again with the consent water whooshing thro the powder tray.

Does the water drain into a stand pipe or does it connect to a spigot under the sink? If the drain hose is too low the machines water will run out as it is filling(syphoning). Therefore never getting through cycle. Just athought.

its thro a pipe , but it has work for over a year this way, and it fills up and empties sort of, only when programme is paused and drain is selcted, but all this time the water is still filling it up slowly .

Just saying then if the pipe is shoved too far down standpipe into u bend then syphoning may occur. Raising the pipe pointing into say the sink temporarily to test will prove this.
