ParticipantHi,
I have a Blomberg Built-in Electric Oven – model no: EOD609W/1.
Yesterday it stopped working – kind of. It doesn’t heat up any more, but the strange thing is that the light and fan still seem to work ok.Is my oven kaput and needs replacing or is there something that can be done to fix it?
I’d appreciate any help that I can get.. I’d rather not have to splash out on a new oven this close to christmas, but if I have to then I do.
Thanks!

Oh that could be very good news. Thank You.
I’ll try and get that part. Is there anyone who works in the Birmingham area, who might be able to fit that for me when I get it?
Thanks.

Hi,
Ok, we got the element in the post today – fantastic! My partner is going to have a go at fitting it.. could any one give us an idea of how to do it?
Is it as simple as a few screws here and there or more complicated.
Thanks in anticipation.

Ok, the element we got is too big…
Hopefully we can swap it for one that is smaller??
The old one measure 200mm (20cm) – [Height from the screw plate to top] by 180mm (18cm) [Full width].
Any other elements available?

Well, my partner emailled them to arrange return of the element, we still haven’t heard back from them.
If anyone from Whitegoods is reading this, we’d like to return the part that was incorrect which we need to know where to send it back to so we can arrange for a refund, as we now have the correct part bought from a store.Thanks.

Hi Shel,
I have checked our emails back over the last few days but we have only received the original request on 5/12 to which we replied on the same day.
Could you reply to that email please with the subject “RE: Blomberg Element” and I will sort the return out for you.
Typically of Comet (Blomberg is their own brand) there appears to be two elements used on the same model, you probably needed this one:
Thanks
Dave.
