    Hi all,

Does anyone have a built in oven of the make Diplomat ADP 4600?

Due to a previous rat problem and my paranoia i would like to ask a safety question.

There are 3 indicator lights on the control panel. as soon as you have power to the oven the clock and the second indicator light turns on. The indicator light is very weak. When you start cooking in the oven the indicator light will then light up alot and once reached required temperature it will turn off.

The first indicator light is over the knob labelled Thermostat and the second indicator light is over the function selector knob. Third indicator light is for the lower oven and is over the temperature knob for that.

If anyone know, please reply back.

these light are neons. neon lights turn on with very little current. ( ie a neon screw driver light up when you touch a mains wire and the current flows through your body to light it )

so a very small glow on a neon is not a big problem. if you have an RCD on your fuse board that protects the circuit you can rest easy there is no problem as this would trip well before there was any problem that can injure you
