Participanthave had a Professional 90 cooker brand name Serena for 3 years and had problem with element keep going in main oven , latest one appears to have taken the timer out with it , had someone to look at it but he informs me that he needs to be corgi registered to open up the section with the timer in , anyone out there recommend somebody who can do this work and replace the element aswell in or around Solihull in the west Mids ?

your problem may well be with PCB/relay board and not the timer.
if the time has readout but appears to not fuction, it may be ok and its as above.
you need to establish you have voltage at the element terminals when calling for heat on the control thermostat.
THIS IS REALLY A QUALIFIED ENEGINEERS JOB and not a DIY one
CALL A COOKER SERVICE AGENT
always isolate unit from power supply when removing covers etc

thanks for the reply , I’m sure that the timer has blown as there is nothing in the display at all and the engineer who called conformed this , I’m not going to attempt to do it myself as I’ve no idea what I’m doing , Is there anyone near Solihull qualified to do this work ?

Participanttimers going off doesnt confirm the timer as faulty.. its common now for manufacturers to use thermal fuses/overloads or in line fuses to protect such expensive items
you might be pleasantly surprised if you click the link to find an engineer in your area
hope this helps

Hi,
I have a similar problem with the 313 model. Did you fix your cooker? If so has it been reliable since then?
Thanks
Josh

I did get the cooker fixed and as a couple of people said above there was nothing wrong with the timer even though the display had gone , had the element replaced and a thermostat and so far so good although we have had to replace the element 5 times in 3 1/2 years.
not a brand I would recommend to anyone else.
