    Hi,
My Fisher Paykel GW709AU has stopped filling up. When I try & use it, it starts to agitate but doesn’t fill with water. It is displaying a Code 50 which I have read is the Hot Water Inlet Value, but when my husband tested it with the multimeter both the hot & cold valves don’t have the 64ohms that websites are saying they should have. From the research I have been doing, websites have said that it could be either the hot or both the valves, the pump or even the motor contol board. Is there a way that I can do a more conclusive test on it before I go out & start buying parts to repair it. I don’t want to be spending more than I need to.
    Kind regards
    Nell

50 is the hot water valve only. Standard fault is wiring problems – use test meter to check from the pcb end, clean all contacts, etc.

What reading are you getting across the solenoid?

    Hi,
After getting some advice, my husband check the valves again & got 63.9ohms on the cold & 33ohms on the hot. I also did the valve diagnostic test this morning. The led light lit up for both valves but I didn’t get any water to come out of either. Do you think that that is more indicating that it is a wiring problem?
    Kind regards

Hot valve is way off – replace. Resistance should be 64 ohms.
