ParticipantHi, I hope someone can help me. My Indesit washing machine has stopped mid cycle, the softener is still in the drawer and there is still water inside. All lights were flashing and the door won’t open. I tried to spin and drain but machine just made a low buzzing sound. I tried to do the programme again and machine went through the whole process of washing but again it stopped before draining and all lights are flashing!
Hope someone can help as my children’s school shirts are inside!!!
Thankyou

Are you sure ALL of the lights are flashing?
The error codes on these are given by flashing all of the horizontal lights which you can ignore.
The error code is given by BOTTOM five of the far right vertical lights which are on steady, not flashing.
They are numbered for codes by using the lowest light as number 1 upwards.
Can you try it again and check the right hand column of lights please.

Some Hotpoint machines use the same error codes, you can find them HERE
That shows the lights as horizontal unfortunately, easier to fit on the page, 😉 but the codes are correct reading them from Left to Right. So if for instance if the very bottom light is lit then that is F01.

The lights that are flashing are the eco button, intensive wash button, extra rinse button and delay timer button. The other lights that show where about the programme is up to aren’t flashing.
Don’t know if that makes a difference?

I will repeat the information I gave earlier,
You IGNORE the horizontal flashing lights, you make a note of the VERTICAL lights that are on steady, that is NOT FLASHING.

As a follow up question, have you checked or cleaned out the drain pump filter as per your instruction manual?

Thanks for your help. We’ve managed to drain the water and the drain pump filter seemed clear although the water was a bit dirty. We’ve cleaned it, put it back on and the same thing happened although LED 1 and 3 are solidly lit up.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Many thanksDecember 9, 2017 at 9:09 pm #452251iadom

Error code F05, as I suspected a possible drain problem.
Take the filter right out of the pump, the water should flow out quite rapidly at this point. Get down and shine a torch inside. At the back you will see a small, four bladed pump impellor. You should be able to flick that round in 1/4 turns. Look out for bits of bra wire, hairgrips or hair bobbles, all very common causes of pump failure.

Thanks very much for your advice, when we did as you suggested and shone a torch inside the pump we found a clothes label stuck in there. The machine is working fine now!
Thanks againDecember 11, 2017 at 10:08 pm #452253iadom
