ParticipantHello to all and hope you can help.
My nextra6 has started not to spin.
When i switch on the washing machine in the morning and run a spin program it is fine with no problems. after that program has finished and you try to run it again the drum just keeps going forward a backwards a untill the program stops.
If i run a normal program it takes the wasing powder and looks like it is washing but will not take the conditioner or spin.
Any help would be great…
Thanks
Stuart

It all sounds a bit muddled. The machine, not your description!
I would be looking for a blockage in the drain side of things. Or it could be syphoning?
Have you tried checking the filter?
Have you checked the drain hose isn’t too low or to far down the drain?Mind how you go, put some towels down if you take the filter out. Make sure the drum is empty of water before unscrewing.
Oh and unplug the machine electrically if you delve inside!!!!!

Hi,
Model Number: HNWL7146
Thanks for your responce.
I have looked at the filter at the bottom of the washing machine and that was clear.
The drain hose i have tryed removing and put in a bucket. Made no diffrence.
Is there another filter or is it the bottom filter i need to remove
Thanks

Working from what you are saying and what you have done it still could be a blockage elsewhere, or the pump itself has failed.
I don’t know what more to suggest……
Other than shine a torch up,around and in the filter opening to see if there are any obstructions.
(Once all the water is out of the machine does it spin with a load??)

No the only time the machine spins is first time i turn it on in the morning. like is has time to reset.
Strange i know…….
After that first spin it make a bit of a growning noise like the pump is constantly going.

The important issue……does it actually pump the water away?
From your description, it does! At the end of washing or rinsing cycles, you should hear the pump cut in – the water should drain and you may well hear a groaning/growling noise which starts with a gurgling noise as the last of the water is pulled through the pump…..you should hear the noise alter as the spin starts, because it will be pumping away the water spun from the load.
It is just possible that the level-switch sensor is blocked.
(not likely if it fills to correct level)….board or timer fault would be my guess….but it IS ONLY A GUESS.
