ParticipantI went to a customer this morning with a Siemens SN25M830GB/02 that just doesn’t work. The controls operate and light up OK, the timer countdown runs down OK. Press and hold the reset button and it counts down from 1 min to end OK but all the while nothing happens. Not a squeak, no drain pump, nothing. 😕
Now when I first got there and before I unplugged the mains plug at the back to get it out the display showed E01. Once I plugged it back in again the error code never showed up again. I have a live feed to the drain pump whilst it presumably should be draining. But all the connections are those micro wired plug-in jobbies that are pretty much impossible to put a test meter across. (besides, the pump has 3 wires going to it….very odd?).
I must confess it’s the first time I’ve come across this new design of machine and I found it more than baffling as to how you get at it? Just getting the lid off was quite a tease I must confess, but getting to the drain pump very easy. How the hell you get at the rest is beyond me at this stage? I presume that its yet another model where you have to remove the tub to get at the gubbings inside maybe?
Would some kind, thoughtful, generous and compassionate person that has access to a service manual on this series of machine let me have a copy please? That would be a great help and I guess doesn’t need to be specific to the model I have a problem with either just as long as it shows how to get at the darn things. My email address tab is just below…Thanks in advance, you’re a star! 😀

ParticipantE01 is ‘pump triggering or pump switching’ is defective and would appear to be power module fault. The power module is situated at the back right corner and just clips in if it needs to be removed – remembering of course that the mains supply cable must be removed as it plugs directlu into the board !!!
They actually ‘open up’ like a clam shell Martin…..although i’ve yet had to actually go that far in the field !!! There are a couple of metal clips by the corners of the base that you bend out and the front of the machine kinda tilts backwards . You have to be wary of the hoses and a couple might have to be released but its not as half as complicated as its predecessor

Excellent info Paul thanks. Psst! You don’t happen to have a pdf file on these babies do ya? 😉

The module is £120 and it says it’s “programmed” so by that do I take it that it doesn’t need configuring, that it’s just plug in, stand well back and switch on? 😕

The programmed ones will be in short supply soon. You will then need the BSH tool and laptop to “flash” the PCB ie code it.

Oh dear, what a shame BSH have taken that route. 🙁
Thanks for the info. 😀
