    Hi,
Needing some help in purchasing a new dishwasher.
Current one is a 12 year old SMEG which has broken the door support mechanism. The previous dishwasher was a 15 year old Zanussi.
Any suggestions for a decent machine in the £400 to £500 range.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Regards

Is this a freestanding or integrated dishwasher? If the latter is it fully or semi integrated? Full size or slimline?

    So many choices 😀

    Hi Don
Free standing full size dishwasher. Not really worried about name on the machine just that it does wash dishes and dries them. I have read that some of the newer dishwashers do not dry as well as the older models or is this urban type myth.

Virtually all dishwashers nowadays do not have exposed elements so any that have heated drying the air comes in via vents. residual drying while not as effective is cheaper to run so has more green credentials. It’s well known that plastics inhibit the drying process so avoid putting too many of these in if you can.

Bosch dishwashers are still my favourite, ours is 10 years old and still goes wee. Series 4 and up are the best and some even have extra dry option.

    Don
