Different world down there. 😉
For any business I’d say that £12 a year on insurance was neither here nor there in all honesty.
Not having a fax I can understand if you don’t do contract work, little need for it.
Not checking email is a cardinal sin. 😉
I regard email as important as a phone line these days and I’m quite sure that most businesses have one of those. It’s also, for me, a lot cheaper than either a phone or a fax in operation.
But then if you’re moving on, why worry?

But I have now dissapeard, not that I got any work from it because the very busy luton man came up first.
But I am still glad of the advise and help I recieve from this site because when you work on your own it is very tricky to stay sain.
Thanks to you all.Paul.

Mike
I don’t have a fax machine myself but use a fax to email service. There are plenty available on the web but some can be a bit expensive for the person sending the Fax (30p or more).
I use the Tiscali service which is 10p, so not too bad. There is no cost to the receiver only the sender.

KeymasterHeh Paul, there was a call through the system that bounced to you just the other day and my mail to you bounced as well, so I had to pass the call elsewhere. 😕

I’m in a bit of a quandry 😕 (is that how you spell it?) at the moment.
I’m fully into the idea of everything put forward but just now I’m in the middle of moving house, so I’ve no proper contact details until thats sorted, apart from me mobile and email (shop has shut, no need for the big hoose), closing down the retail side (finalising accounts and ending a partnership), and there’s only little me, still on the road as well doing calls.
All I want to do at the moment is get back to normal. Unfortunately everything else is on the back burner until i get straight.
Normal people take time off to do all this. Oh the joys of self employment!!!!!!! 😉

You can still register your interest Tony if you like.
Repairs@ has an “on holiday” feature and project X can be switched off also and the work will go to someone else until you’re ready. Both can easily be swithed back on, just give us the nod 🙂

Thanks for the tip Andy. I may look into it when the need arises.
Still, can’t imagine why anyone would want to use fax to contact a repairman.
