ParticipantPlease can someone help me out with this?
I have in for repair:
Zanussi ZWD 16270W1
Product number – 914604030
Serial number – 842 00433Problem is that it counts down way too fast on tumble dry. If I put it on for an hour it only runs for about 20 mins, completes and beeps as though its done.
On the first inspection I found the condenser solenoid coil open circuit and replaced the coil with a good one that I had on another Zanussi tripple valve. (I would have changed the whole valve but one of the outlets was in a different place)
I was called back to it a week later saying the problem was still the same so I began to probe around.
I detected considerable earth leakage on the dryer element with my megger so I ordered up a replacement element hoping it would sort this problem out as I have had many problems with earth leakage on these before. Sadly for me – It hasn’t worked.
Struggling here guys. Can anyone throw any light on it for me please?
Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the new element for earth leakage? I’ve had quite a few that failed insulation test shortly after getting hot for the first time! Also check condenser for blockages and the NTC fitted in the lower hose of the condenser can shed its wires.

Steve.

Hiya, thanks I have removed the condenser (should have said before) and cleaned it out really well so there isn’t any trace of lint in it what so ever. The two ntc sensor wires are both ok, I have even cleaned the probe with an abrasive cloth as it was a bit crusty with scale. One thing I did find though, I read the diagnostics for the machine and it displayed E73 – Faulty NTC in the duct at the top so I have one on order in hope that it will cure it …

Just to let those who viewed this topic know, I fitted the NTC sensor on the duct which connects to the door seal and it’s sorted out the problem.

Rob.

Hi I have one of these machines that’s doing the same thing. Is it an Ntc probe or a thermal limiter button type that fits into the duct above the door seal? Part no 3792111415 is the part from looking at mediator
Cheers,
