Hi I’ve ordered some new hinges for an integrated Bosch fridge from UKWG. Very pleased with them as exactly same Hettich ones as original. However, on the instructions it tells you not to completely remove the screws on the keyhole shaped holes in hinge (if that makes sense!), but to slide door to right and lift off. Do you know why this is? – is it important not to remove screws fully? It’s just that the whole fridge would have to be moved to left first 🙁 (its built in next to a wall on the right hand side) as not enough clearance to be able to do it that way. Do you think it’d be ok to just take the screws out completely and ignore instructions that came with it? To save trying to move the whole fridge in it’s housing.

If you take the screws out completely the mountings will fall inside and be unrecoverable! Get the fridge out first and abide by the fitting instructions or pay the price of completely ruining the appliance.

Just wanted to let you know (belatedly) that we fitted the new hinge on the fridge(it was fairly easy to do) and the fridge is working perfectly now and lovely and cold- 😀 big thank you! much cheaper than a new fridge.

BTW when I told my dad about the fixing dropping inside the fridge if you take the screw out completely- he thought that was a wind up! I said you weren’t winding me, but he pointed out that the door was reversible and the fixing on the other side hadn’t dropped inside the fridge. So can you settle the argument once and for all-was it a wind up?
