hi im asking this question cos it will take forever to get this machine out. basicall when pressing the timer knob to start it, it doesnt start. i suspected that there would be a relay behind the panel but there isnt. there doesnt appear to be enough room to have one internally in the timer so the question is:-

is there a start relay hidden elsewhere in the cabinet? also there is no sign of the circuit diagram which is normally stashed.

    thanks

Looking at the diagram I have here it appears to be a centrifugal switch in the motor (shorts out pins 5 and 6 on the motor block or B and M on the timer).

    thanks
so if i understand correctly, the momentary push of the timer knob kicks the motor into action and then the switch on the motor keeps the circuit closed.
    i’ll look into that tomorrow.
