Hi there. Dont know whether anyone can help me but I have a Indesit IS60V tumble dryer which I recently changed the belt on which was a pig of a job in itself. However since I have put it bakc together the front of the machine is getting incredibly hot. Has anyone got any ideas on this or can anyone help me out?

    cheers.

    Re: Hi

id be checking the internal duct pipe hasnt come off , usually if the machine gets too hot in the front the duct stat should switch the heater off

    very simple to check

if u look thru the hole in the back, where the vent hose clips, u should be able to see a black tube leading from where the pipe fits on the rear to the front duct

itll be very obvious if its wrong

its as easy as refitting it by removing the 2 screws on the back, and pushing it back on properly

was the dryer ok before you changed the belt?

yeh it was fine before changing the belt. The duct pipe appears to b ein place but is a little loose, i.e. I can move it back and forth between where it vents to the rear and where it collects the heat at the front. Is this correct should there be movement in it do you know?
