Our electric cooker has a glass (to use a layman’s term) hob top which is stuck down to the stainless steel body.

This is now coming unstuck, and I would appreciate advice on what sort of adhesive to stick it down with, and if appropriate what solvent should be used to remove the old adhesive.

    Thank you

    This stuff:

has temperature rating and will stick anything to everything.

Cleanliness is essential – a certain amount of the old glue will peel off, some will scrape off amd some will have to be attacked with white spirit (rubber gloves, please). When re-glueing, you will need to weight the two surfaces together for 24 hours to ensure a proper bond.

    Power off before doing anything.
