My MX904 has blown the 5KV 0.75A fuse cartridge and most likely the magnetron has died as the heater reads 0 Ohms. I’ve done a search, no one seems to advertise this rating of fuse. Can you help ? The magnetron is a Panasonic 2M210-M1, although this is obtainable I’d prefer to get both from the same supplier.

    Hi Tony,

A quick question please, are you in the trade ?

As far as I am aware only the most unscrupulous spares supplier would sell a magnetron and the safety fuse to anyone without the correct test and safety equipment to be able to fit these parts.

    Dave.

Thanks for the question Dave, I’m an electronics engineer and work as a service engineer on high power (up to 250KW) amplifier units etc. , so I have a good range of experience and test equipment, but not a microwave leakage tester. If you think I don’t have the experience needed I’ll buy the bits and get someone in the trade to fit them.
    Regards, Tony Orr.
