ParticipantGood Evening All.
I am hoping someone has a simple suggestion to my issue
I have a Hisense BCD535 American Fridge Freezer, And the dispenser has stopped dispensing water and ICE, up until an engineer came to the house and diagnosed the dispenser unit i dont think the ice feed is working into the tray anymore. I have checked the water tank connection and found the pipe to be disconnected so my tray was empty when i got home, but had been generating ice before todays visit. i pull out the tank and push back in and the pump whirrs, and purges air into the water tank and it blows bubbles.
When looking at the dispenser, I have taken the front face off, and cleaned the dispenser and ensured all wires are connected. i have removed the dispenser switch off, cleaned of all debris and refitted and trhe paddle when actuated makes the clicky noise. What else can i look at? what have i missed. I am hoping that the water supply to the ice tray works on a timer, and when im not watching it fills the tray up.

KeymasterBCD535 isn’t a valid model number.
This is how you find the info you will need:

ParticipantHi thanks for this, I have now included the information from the barcode sticker.
Since my last post, where i had to plug in the water pipe in teh back of the water tank in the fridge, I am no longer now getting any supply of water to the ice cube maker, sometimes only a little bit of water, where as the cube make was working fine.
I have since, taken the dispenser off, cleaned it and checked all plugged connections,
I have checked the dispenser actuator switch, cleaned it and made sure its connections are good and clicking. But i also forgot about the paddle, once pressed teh LED lights use to work, they also dont work.
Do i have anyway of forcing/purging water through the pipes to test the flow through connections to test if theyy are blocked …. is there a function to be able to purge water thru the system at all, currently only test i can do is take out the water tank in the fridge, and push it back in to make sure the sensor works. it whirrs and blows air back into the tank, apart from that I am not sure what other tests i can do…
ideas anyone

KeymasterSorry, I can’t read the info on that label as it’s too small.
It could be a problem with the door panel but I’m guessing without knowing what unti it is.

KeymasterThere are multiple versions and changes inside of those so the codes are needed. Probably about 12 or so versions of that model.
But the ice/water dispenser is dumb, it just feeds back to the main module what’s needed and that does the work.
There’s a valve on the back that brings the water in, if that fails the tank won’t fill and you’d get no water or ice and likewise, if the tank freezes it won’t work. After that you’re into the module and wiring. Wiring on some can be a thing though, it can fail.
