As above, we have a washer dryer that’s only a few months old…..maintained as per….level…..working absolutely fine. Loads of water removed by the end of a cycle…..clothes dried grand….all good until about an hour or two after a cycle, at which point we often find a puddle of water underneath.

Is the condensor slowly defrosting and overflowing the collection tray? I can’t work out what is happening. Should we turn it on again 45 mins after the load has finished to pump out the collection tray? #confused

Many thanks in advance for any thoughts!

A leak can be anything, without investigating it’s often very hard, if possible, to tel where it’s coming from.

But, nothing defrosts in a washer dryer so, it’s not that.

You’d really have to try to see what the source of it is to fix it.

Thanks kwatt. I can’t believe I wrote “Washer Dryer”…..I mean ‘Heat Pump Dryer’. Sleep deprivation be like….can you change the heading?

The thing with this leak is that is never happens when the Dryer is operating…..not a drop. Only after the cycle has finished and we go away and leave it for an hour or two….we return to a puddle underneath. The water collector gets emptied every cycle and is getting loads of water.

I could only imagine that the condensor or refrigerant tank was building up frost that would slowly melt after a load was finished…..how else to explain this phenomenon?

Is the room cold at all? Possibly condensation.

Thanks, I think this must be the reason….the room is pretty cold and the leaking doesn’t always occur. I’ll better monitor the situation the next few weeks and see what’s what.
