    What’s the deal with this abomination of a design? Do I really need to remove the entire base section to gain access to any of the internal components (like what we’d do to replace the sump seal on a bosch D/W). What the hell were they thinking when they designed it – ludicrous. They give an access panel at the back and front (glued in as per hotpoint design by the black bitumen layer, so it never pivots as intended). Then face every clip, terminal and fitting away from you so you still cant reach/remove/test anything.

    If this is the future, I’m worried!

    Heating element is DTE and needs replacing. Not looking forward to doing it.

    Any tips, please?

    Well, looks like I wont be replacing it anyway as the part is ALREADY Obsolete. The whole machine is obsolete in my humble onion!.
