How come todays “hit count” is 172,000 odd. 165623 of those were between midnight and 7.OO AM 😯 is someone burning the late night oil or what.

No idea really, but I can explain some of it. 😕
It would appear that many came from a single domain so very probably some sort of news or something sparked it. At the same time it appears that some bots were scanning and there was the usual traffic on top.
It’s not uncommon that some bit of news, like Whirlpool drops a bit of news or launches some new product and we get spanked by people looking for information on whatever was reported from all over the globe. Happens all the time and we’re often (as usual) the last ones to be told about new stuff or news.
We’re just the service guys after all, what do we need to know anything for? 😉

Na, there’s only a few penguins gifted with the ability to be using a keyboard. 😉
More annoyingly however is that it mucks my stats up. I don’t like it when my stats get messed with. Yesterday’s events just skew the results and that hacks me off.
That may not make sense to anyone bar me. 😆
Aside from that we did exceed 20 million page views in total yesterday so, all in all, not a bad month really and we’re only two thirds of the way through it, well almost. 😉
