I am just about to replace a turntable motor in a Bosch Microwave oven, model number HMT 9656GB
Before I get the ‘screwdriver in’ I thought it would be a good idea to check for any wisdom in the community forum
all the best and thanks JMB
before you jump in too deep/ look underneath the unit. A lot of microwaves have a metal plate that can be removed by by cutting 4 or 5 links. this plate can then be put back by using self tappers and hooking it back in
once removed changing the motor is a breeze and best of all you are nowhere near the dangerous bits
Thanks for all the help, and the part, the new motor is working as expected.
Access to the motor was through a hatch in the bottom of the microwave, no need to remove the cover or to go near any of the high voltage stuff under the main cover.
keep in mind that the motor is run on mains voltage, dont forget to unplug before trying to replace..
