HNMF 2805A L80 Fridge Freezer problem

Hi Guys

i have a frost free fridge model HNMF 2805A L-80

A few days ago it was making a loud churning sound and turned off, and now it seems to be turning on when it wants and then turns it self off, the freezer food is still frozen but the fridge is not cool.

when i say turns itself off i mean i cannot hear the humming of the compressor and then it turns it self back on.

any ideas what it could be? does it sound like a major issue?

I assume this is a Hoover model.

Does it start up then immediately switch back off again, then off, then on etc?

yes it is hoover

well if the fridge is has been shut off from the mains and then i turn it on it does start up then switches off back immediately, then it will come on and off as it wishes.
