    went too this one recently and fitted new mudule, customer called me back today motor is now not controlling speed have checked the tacho and it seems fine anyone had this or similar?

    hate to say it but sounds like a shorted triac on the pcb. Was the motor a bit ropey before you changed the PCB? it it was a bit arc-y before which may have caused the original PCB to go then although you’ve cured the ” fault ” being the PCB you may have missed the cause and it’s done it again. If its any consolation I’ve replaced the triac on this boards quite a few times without any grief and they’re only about £ 3 from RS

    I have had the Magnet come loose on the end of the motor rotor. Screw back on & tighten.

    …..yep, agreed!….usually the magnet comes loose. Refit with a bit of Loctite on the threads. 😉
