I have a NEFF ceramic hob (model T182, T183 or T184 – not sure) which features a simple countdown timer. You set an mumber of minutes and it counts down to zero before sounding a beeper. It does not control the hob in any way or switch anything on or off.
Recently, the timer touch pad became more difficult to use, ignoring a normal fingure touch. However, it would work when the hob was warm – eg when several hotplates were used or the oven beneath was in use for some time. Now, the timer touchpad is almost unresponsive. I guess that the touch pad is operated by a field-effect switch which operates a relay beneath the control panel.
Is it possible to replace the troublesome part?
