I have a 6 year old Samsung fridge/freezer. with auto defrost – great condition. The freezer door was left open so I had to defrost it for the first time. I took the opportunity to give it a thorough clean and found 2 holes either side of where there is a buffer that stops the bottom draw from coming out. The draw has clearly been pulled too hard and created 2 holes either side of the freezer.

Below is a blurry pic of one of the holes.

I’ve looked on the web/youtube for a possible fix but I can’t find a definitive answer (only for small holes).

At the moment I’m researching silicon sealant or a tape that can survive sub-zero temps but the holes are quite big.

Anyone in the know have any ideas/tips on best fix?

    Any advice, appreciated, thanks.

    Fixed.

For anyone that may have a similar problem. I used Food Grade Silicone (Dow 786) with a temp between -50C to 150C, when cured, and just blobbed the holes full until relatively smooth.
