    Hi

I have a yellow Homark 800390 fridge freezer. It’s only 5 months old, but the warranty appears to be worthless, and the fridge is not getting cold. The light still comes on but that’s it.

The freezer is still working fine. There’s 2 compressors at the back, one is hot and one is cold. I have photos of the fridge and both compressors, if it helps to identify the model properly. I can’t actually find a sticker on it anywhere (looks like one has been removed from the back), so the model number I’m quoting is taken from the invoice that I got.

The warranty company on the card says CareMark, but they dont exist any more and ive been given a right runaround trying to find who’s taken over, if anyone.

Hope someone can help. No fridge in this weather? 😯 It’s not good.

    Cheers
    Chrissie

    Not so 😉

The retailer or whoever sold the appliance to you is responsible not the manufacturer, although under normal circumstances they would carry out the in guarantee repairs.

The model is made by Brandt in France and rebadged.

Contact the retailer, they should be able to help 🙂

    Hi Dave

Ta for getting back to me so quick.

Does that still hold true if I bought it from an auction warehouse that specialises in bankrupt stock?

    Please say yes……… 😥

Hmm, that would depend on the condition of sale I guess but you’d have to ask them really.

If you do find yourself with no guarantee, check the repairs@ link below for an Independent engineer that should be able to help 🙂

    Dave.
