my homark built in fan oven model 02 700301 fan element burnt out on christmas eve..:(
i took off the interior casing over the fan and got the part no. 20 40112 and sized it up …two windings 190mm dia 2000w etc..
i see two little mounting screws with star shaped heads to remove the element…first i will need to get a tool to fit these…??
if i get them slackened off can i replace the element simply by taking the old one out via the oven interior and reconnecting the power leads or do i need to take the whole casing out of the fitment carcase..?
i also note the grill element is fixed via a similar flange but the fixing screws seem to be from behind the back of the oven…
    grateful for any assistance..
    and merry christmas forumites
    yours

    Re: homark fan oven element

    Morning

PLUG/POWER OFF is the first rule…

yes, if you remove these screws the element will extract from the front. The wiring is usually long enough to follow the element for an inch or so. If you pull a wire off its an oven out job to recover from the back.

    Hope that helps.

thanks a lot kevin…glad i dont need to take out the oven…
i will be careful with the cables…may attach some restraint to them prior to disconnecting…string or something to rescue them if they jump back…

Nope, that one is secured from behind, ie, the screws enter the element mounting plate from the rear, which is an oven out job.

If it’s working, best left alone until it fails really 😉

If you post up the model number of the oven, I should be able to help with part numbers/prices etc for the fan element, not until Wednsesday now though.

    thanks dave
    homark model no 02 700301
    part no…i looked on the flange…99A 200W E60 20 40112..:)
the double coil is around 190mm dia and the flange bolt centres about 58mm with the element centre at 26mm…can check these if they seem wrong..
do i need to buy a special 6 pointed star screwdriver to get the screws out or is there a ‘tip’ on modifying an ordinary or phillips screwdriver to do this job

finally since you mentioned oven out…are the 4 screws which go through the side cheeks into the carcase all that holds it in…i may need to know this for future..thanks

i have googled and emailed a bit for spares but havent got replies yet..your offer will be welcomed…
    cheers
