Dave.torx bits arrived today
job done…i secured the pull out cables with wire as restraints while i clipped them off in case they slipped back into the hinterland at the back of the casingit was a torx T20 bit which fitted…thanks..gegsy
got a 15 as well for any other nastiesbottom line…excellent help and advice on this forum…
thanks to kevin, gegsy, and the boss..dave
first class service from the shop..and price wise couldnt be beatand to toolstation.com…first class service as well..
happy new year…might have that turkey now 😆
ps now i know which circuit the oven is on now…its not on the cooker unit but one of the power circuits…fused at the mains box
will need to put in a wall isolator for it…and the central heating supply..

well its gone again…thats from december 24th 2004 till june 11th 2007
so back to the drawing board
at least i have my torx screwdriver handy
and i am not doing it blind
and worst of all
we arent having christmas turkey for dinner
just bacon and eggs
ordering now

After replacing the element on my own grill, I found the reason for it’s premature failure. The roof of the oven had warped slightly and was touching the element thereby causing a hot spot and failure. Might be worth checking the surroundings of the element for a possible problem?
