I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE FROM A FRIEND WHO HAD ONLY USED IT ABOUT TWICE. I FIGURE IT IS ABOUT 4 YEARS OLD.

IT WAS IN STORAGE FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS, AND WHEN I INSTALLED IT, IT WORKED FINE THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES. NOW IT TAKES HOURS TO COMPLETE A CYCLE AND THE WATER IS COLD. I GOT AN ENGINEER OUT WHO TESTED IT USING A METER AND TOLD ME THE HEATER WASN’T WORKING. HE CANNOT GET A NEW HEATER PART AS IT’S SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE NORMAL ONES ON THIS TYPE OF DISHWASHER.

    CAN ANYONE HELP?

The element is p/no 524007401 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

Knock the capitals off, please 😀 .

I don’t think it is the element. The part was on the bottom of the dishwasher

You’re going to have to give us more to go on, in that case 😀 .

Sorry I can’t be much help. The part he showed me was on the bottom of the machine not inside. It looked sort ot like the picture on your shop page for the motor/pump. He explained that it was not the common type that was fitted to most dishwashers. Being Homark, it was slightly different at one end where it attached to the machine. He said it was very unusual and would be difficult to locate. He thought it would be between £60 and £120.

The pump still appears to work, as water goes in and out of the machine. The water does not heat up though and the cycle button does not move on and can continue to “wash” for hours until I switch it off.

This is a new machine, but I stored it in my hut for months before I was ready for it. Could it be anything else? Should I use a dishwasher cleaner to flush it out? I can send you a photo if it would help

    Any help would be appreciated.
