Hi Dave,
Don’t suppose you know where I can get a function selector knob for a Homan 4 Function Cool Touch Oven 01 – 1050?

The only reference I can find for the model is 01-2050B which is an old model and was brown.
If that’s the one the knob can be obtained for £14.79 inc VAT and post.
If you’d like it ordered and sent to you, drop me an email.
Dave.

The Model 01-1050 is the actual number it was made by Ocean and was made obsolete 10 years ago. So the chances are slim to get the parts.
Yo could get lucky and call the caremark parts line or their web site (if it’s still up)
the number is 01942 815311
The part number you require is C42.0222.0
Hope this helps
The one Dave can get you could be set at different a different angle
and vary in colour and shape. You may have to order 2 of them if the angle is rightRegards

Thanks guys. Just moved in to a new house lately, so I’ve no idea how old the oven actually is (though it doesn’t look particularly new)… Can you get bog-standard, generic knobs for ovens at all? Just want to investigate all the options before splashing the cash!

Hi Phil
I’m not honestly sure if theres a generic knob but if you take it to a spares dealer they might be able to match it.
As for the oven it’s a least 10 years old possibly older as it went on sale approx 14 years ago. So i’ve got to say the oven is doing well if the only thing wrong is the knob and obviously it has been looked after.
Update
Sorry to out price you Dave 😉
This is the Caremark Parts Line 08707502435The Part C42.0222.0 they have 8 instock and it’s £11.98 inc VAT and poastage.

Hi,
Me again… Well, it looks as though the Homark oven I mentioned may have finally bitten the dust. The grill works fine, as does the fan and the lights etc, but the oven no longer heats up.
Firstly, is it simple enough to replace the heating element (and if so, where do you get these kinds of things)??
Secondly, given that it’s at least 11/12 years old, would it be wiser to think about investing in a new oven? Is there a typical shelf life these things can last for??
TIA

The fan element should be available at the UKW shop. Drop Dave an email if you want one.
It’s easy to fit for someone who knows what they’re doing, it’s engineer time (try Repairs@) for someone who doesn’t.Craig
