ParticipantHi
I have a Homark electric oven Model 01-700500 type B11 that has gone a bit faulty. It still heats up but seems to get too hot and the thermostat still seems to be working as the light by the temperature control knob go’s on and off.
when I need to set at 200c I have to set at about 150c to get the right ccoking temperature! Can anyone give me an idea what is going on here please.
Yours Hopefully

If the temperature will eventually stabilise, most likely the oven thermostat has lost its calibration and will have to be replaced.
P/no 76X3759, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.
Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Hi
Further to the fault on my Homark oven, I have noticed that if I cook a pizza in the middle of the oven the top is ok while the bottom is burnt !

Haven’t got a sheet of aluminium foil across the base of the oven have you? If yes, get rid of it…….

Hi
No…ive no foil there but I have noticed that anything that drops on the bottom of the oven turns to white kind of ash very quickly lately !

Hi,
Update on oven !
Having given the oven a good check over, I have found that the top and bottom elements seem to be working and so does the thermostat so this brings me to the oven door !
On checking the door seal I find that there is a seal for the top and both sides but not the bottom of the door and looking at it there doesn’t seem to have been any at all as the seal on both sides finishes cleanly and there is no sign of any marks where one would have been !

Three-sided door seals are fairly common……..

Hi
Doesn’t let the heat out ? If I shine a torch along the bottom while the door is closed, I can see the light inside !
