my father has given me his kitchen that includes all the appliances, although they are a few years old most have hardly been used. the oven by Homark is in really good order but there is no manual with it and i have never used an electric cooker as i have always used gas.
i have managed to use both the hob and the oven but could do with a copy of the manual to find out how to use the oven, (it is fan assisted)
the numbers on the door are:- MOD 01800101 BROWN, TYPE FEV 177.
SNR 5850038000 (This last number i am not too sure of as i found it awkward to get down low enough to read the print)
i would appreciate any help.

Hello Dave – would it be possible to email me a manual for a brown Homark built in oven…model 01-7600 type FEM/137S….
Also, is it still possible to get parts for it?
Like many others here, the numbers on the knobs have all worn off and the fan oven doesn’t heat up, so it seems I may need a new element?!November 3, 2009 at 4:20 pm #156037don

Hi sheo
I think your chances are extremely slim to say the least. kwatt posted this a little while ago in answer to another Homark oven.

Thanks for the quick reply, Don – appreciated!
I checked the fan element in the Homark parts bit on this website and it seems that would fit the model I have, so what I really need to know in absence of a manual, is what the different symbols mean…I have a lightbulb…two flat lines, one above the other (which seems to be the normal oven)…one with a fan and three triangles above it (the grill?)…one with a fan and two triangles (as far as I can make out) BELOW it…and one which is just a fan.
From what I’ve read here…and what makes the most sense, is that the fan only symbol should be the fan oven, but I get no heat from that, so probably need the new element.
The problem is that my landlord seems to think the single fan symbol is ‘just a fan’….used to clear the oven or whatever (?!?) and not meant to get hot and that it’s the symbol with the fan and triangles BELOW that should actually be the fan oven!
I have tried using that as a fan oven…but it certainly doesn’t operate like any other fan oven I’ve ever used…and doesn’t seem to respond to the temp setting etc (it just gets hot!) so really I just need some confirmation of the meaning of the symbols (which I assume are pretty standard) to show him that it’s a new element I need.
Sorry – that was a very long-winded way of asking a reasonably simple question LOL!November 3, 2009 at 9:36 pm #156039don

Hi sheo
Sounds like the fan symbol should be to heat the oven, so it probably is fan element failure. The triangles and fan I suspect to be fan and grill together, 2 triangles for half width and three for full width.
Best way would be for your landlord to arrange for an engineers visit. If he decides on DIY do remind him to power off first :zap: before investigating.
HTH 🙂

Thanks Don – that’s what I suspect too – but just as a precaution, I wanted someone who does have a Homark oven manual to confirm it for sure (cos I’m assuming the symbols will mostly be the same on different models).
Just so I don’t end up insisting it’s not working, to find out from a subsequent engineers visit that my landlord was actually correct…. 😳

BUMP – just incase someone who DOES have a manual for their own Homark cooker can help me out with the meanings of the symbols.
Thanks!

Hi,
I too have just moved into a house with a Homark built in electric fan oven. There is no user manual, and I have not used a fan oven before. The model number is 02-702103.
It is white with a top oven/grill and a fan oven. It has a clock/timer at the top right with 3 flat white buttons. On the left are 3 knobs, the first I think chooses grill or oven, and has a picture of a square with a line inside at the top and bottom. The second has numbers that I don’t know what they are for, with a zig zag picture above and to the right. The third is the temperature but has a fan picture above to its right.Any help with how to cook with this would be much appreciated, as I have taken hours trying to heat up a pizza so far!
Thanks in anticipation of eating soon!November 22, 2009 at 9:34 pm #156043November 27, 2009 at 9:40 am #156044Opalstar

Thanks Penguin45, that article was of interest, and explained well about fan ovens. Sadly, I am still at a loss about the complete functions of the controls on my oven. I used the first and last knob, and have managed to cook in the main oven. I have no idea what the middle knob is for…fan speed perhaps? I also have not used the grill well yet. I tried to cook a pizza in it and it just got warm after hours.
If any one has a link to the user manual I would really appreciate it. I have tried to ask the people who used to own this house, but she said she only used the hob.November 30, 2009 at 2:23 pm #156045lisabee
