    Hello.

    Just a quick question about a cooker hood. It stopped working today. There is still power going to it but the fan will no longer run. Does anyone have any idea on what might be wrong with it/suggest a fix? I have a feeling it might be a replacement job.

    It is one of Howden’s own.

    Hi Nina

    Model number would be good please, usually found on the inside of the hood.

    hi nina,

    you say it stopped working, do the lights work, is there any noise or buzzing from the fan housing.

    Hi Bob,

    It was on earlier today and then suddenly stopped working.

    The lights are still working but there is no noise at all.

    I’m thinking this is a motor or capacitor problem. Going to try and replace the capacitor first and if that doesn’t work then the motor.

    A job for after Christmas I feel!
