Hi Yurtesen,
Thanks for the reply…
I’ll try a cold wash and see what happens. Good thinking.
As to the lights –
On 1 second off 1 second continuously till power off and on.
Manual – or rather little book that came with it say nothing of troubleshooting or faults…just says call the hoover service line….
Thanks again.

ParticipantDid you try to watch the machine and see what it is doing right before the lights start blinking? If it is taking in water, or removing water or heating etc.

Ron,
Thanks for that, OK now the machine fills as normal and then the drum turns does it? Do you get only the panel lights falshing or does an ‘Error Code’ not show up on the LED display unit?

Hi Martin,
Thanks for such a prompt reply.
Yes, the machiune goes on, program set – hit the start and the water rushes into the tray and the drum rotates. No strange noises or anything – all looks a ok.
Then 30 mins or so into the program, the drum stops as does everything and all the LEDS flash continuosly however no error code appears on the LCD.
Does that help ?

Well, kind of 😕
Dave may be right about the Heater being at fault except usually when that is the case it would show “E1” in the display 🙁 However it cannot be ruled out as a possible thing to check. The easy way was suggested earlier by checking your electricity meter and IF the heater was working then the meter will whiz round quite quickly as the machine was washing. If the meter didn’t at that point, its likely that is your trouble 😉
However, the symptoms point directly to the motor and/or the connections to it. Or even dodgy contacts to the control module. None of these problems are too costly for an expert to fix for you. I would not nor could not advise DIY fixing and suggest you see if we have a recommended expert in your area by clicking on this link: –Repairs@

On the early versions (as Penguin reminded me earlier) the errors were only shown as “all lights flashing”.

Incidentally – I found IC5 on the panel to have some corrosion on the pins.
I’ve ordered a replacement MM74C14N Chip and will replace….will let you know how it goes.It aint the heater – works fine. Also silicone sealed the drum and rubber to stop that nasty firestarting drip.
Cheers for the advice guys.
Ron.
