Hi, I wonder if anyone could help, I have had this washing machine just over a year, a few days ago it started making loud banging noises when spinning.
Now the machine wont even start to Spin when the program is selected, it just makes a strange noise and does nothing.
    Any ideas?
If you need me to give any specific detail let me know.

    Thank you in advance.

how old is the machine you say you have had it a year, was it new when you got it, sounds like the bearings are gone and its thrown the belt off take the plug out and take the back off and have a look .

Re: Hoover AA 1600 will not spin.

Hi, the machine was brand new when we bought it.
I had a read over some of the posts before asking this, the only reason I did not think it was the bearing was because of the age.
But I will have a look at the belt.

If that is the problem, what would I have to do to fix it?

Hi, I took the back of the machine and the belt was still in place.
The only thing that happens when i try to start the spin program is a strange noise, a bit like when the machine tries asking for water.

    Any suggestions?

Yes ive checked the pump filter, it was fine.

Ive had a look at various other posts, could it be the start/run capacitor?
Im not sure if that even applies to my machine.
