    Hi, hope you can help.
    As my washing machine was finishing it’s cycle last night, it gave a funny bang, and then promptly finished spinning. as I took the washing out, I noticed the door seal had come loose. In an effort to re-right the door seal, I have taken it off, and I’ve noticed the drum is not central to the opening – is this normal?
    Is there a problem with the drum belt or something similar? or is it simply that the door seal came off, which seems a little strange to me?
    any advice would be gratefully received!

    it would appear one of the legs of the spider has broken on the drum

    to be fair, given the age of the machine, its going to cost £ 130 + to put it right

    Thank-you for the help, that’s been very useful.
    maybe time for a new washing machine instead – it’s given us 8yrs service with no trouble, so not bad going really 🙂
