I have a customer with the above appliance and the problem they are experiencing is as follows:

On a short wash the unit seems to spin forever. The unit is very noisy and it seems as if the drum is loose. As it gets to the end of the cycle, it stops spinning for a short while, say 10 seconds, then starts up again. The selector switch moves forward until near the end of the cycle then does not move to the stop position.

On a standard longer wash, the unit again is very noisy and seems to wash for hours. Normally should be about 1.5 to 2 hours but carries on for ever again during the spin part of the cycle.

I am assuming that there are at least 2 faults, one being a drum bearing/mounting issue and the other being a faulty control module or selector switch.

I have advised them to start looking for a new machine, but I thought I’d check to see if it is viable to repair.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Good advice! For starters in needs drum out and bearings replaced. Possible heater damaged by drum. New selector switch very possible too. A classic scrapper.
