I’m trying to give a Hoover clothes washer (top loading) a clean out, and need to remove the inner drum.
But, I can’t see how to remove the agitator, which I presume needs to come out first.
It’s stripped down as far as it can be at present, with a (fragile-looking) plastic epicyclic gearbox and a brake mechanism evident at the bottom end.
I gather this is a common method of transmission, so there must be a fairly standard way to dismantle?
    Model A6830, made in Australia.
    Any advice gladly received!

I think you might have got us with this one! The only thing I can find that might give you some help was this:

Curiously enough, Hoover Australia appears to be part of Electrolux!

    Good luck and regards,
