    Hi there,

The timer on my AM120 seems to operate unpredictably.

I haven’t ever caught it in the act, but sometimes it seems to somehow travel about 270 degrees forward or 90 degrees in reverse, part way through a cycle, and then sticks. This causes the machine to heat up water when it shouldn’t etc, and ultimately not complete the intended cycle.

I have sat and watched the machine attempt to advance the timer knob, but occasionally its feeble effort means the wheel doesnt turn quite far enough to make a click sound. I dont know how this would affect the progress of a program; does the machine use the position of the wheel as a counter throughout the cycle, or does it just read its position at the beginning?

Would a replacement timer module be a good bet? Also, in a preliminary search I came across a part called a “timer knob cam”. Would it be worth buying this part aswell?

Thanks in advance and apologies for my rambling question.

    Dan

Buy THIS – problem solved. It’s a motorised selector switch; the original version falls over for fun.

There are 36 holes in my 99GL……. 😥
