    Hi folks

Been to change the main pcb board on this today (pt no 04780267) . Original board was working to a certain extent but when I replaced the board nothing was happerning at all.

There was a small ribbon cable in with the new module so wondered if this is a mod or there just to replace the original if fitted – although there wasn’t one fitted on the board i took off. (looks if it was a mod it might replace the cable to the stepping motor and plug onto the main board and not the edge?)

The box on the new board had been opened before so possible someone had the same prob and new board faulty but just wanted to check that there was no mod to the board and i had to replace some of the wiring with the ribbon cable enclosed.

If anyone can shed any light or help, much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mick

No mod. required for this model. You don’t need to use the ribbon cable at all.

Normally if the new board is dead it indicates it is unprogrammed.

You could check with hoover spares, 01204 556111, that the part number is for a programmed module. Get the serial number first.

Thanks for the reply Tim – have ordered another module so if that is the same will check that with hoover

At least I know there is no mod 🙂

    Thanks

I,ve had this, seems some are configured some are not but it also seems that either could be put into the box regardless of part number
